USER CONDUCT & GUIDELINES

 

The Company has the right, but not the obligation, to limit or revoke the use privileges of anyone who publishes unacceptable Content.

 

At any time, the Company may, at its sole discretion, refuse to allow Content to be published, or remove Content that has been published. However, the Company is not obligated to restrict or monitor submissions in any way, or to block users who submit inappropriate content.

 

By publishing Content, you represent and warrant that such Content:

 

  • does not violate the rights of any third party, including, but not limited to,intellectual property and proprietary rights;
  • is not fraudulent or and does not involve counterfeit or stolen information or items;

  • shall not create any liability for Get IT Dictionary, or any of its respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, successors, assigns, employees, agents, directors, officers and shareholders.

 

You may not submit Content using unauthorized automated methods (“bots”).

  • Threaten, harm, or harass others, submit any inaccurate, fake, false, or defamatory information.

  • Submit, email, transmit, or otherwise make available or initiate any content that:

    • Is unlawful, libelous, abusive, obscene, discriminatory or otherwise objectionable;

    • Includes information that you do not have the right to disclose or make available under any law.

    • Infringes upon patents, trademarks, trade secrets, copyrights, privacy rights, rights of publicity, or any other intellectual or proprietary rights;

    • Includes any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, “junk mail,” “spam,” “chain letters,” “pyramid schemes,” or any other form of solicitation;

    • Contains software viruses, worms, or any other computer code, files or programs that could interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment of Get IT Dictionary or any user of Get IT Dictionary; 

  • Duplicate, license, sublicense, publish, broadcast, transmit, distribute, perform, display, sell, rebrand, or otherwise transfer information found on  Get IT Dictionary (excluding User Content submitted by you) except as permitted in these Terms, or as expressly authorized by  Get IT Dictionary.

  • Remove or modify any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary rights notice that appears on the Services; 

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, decipher or otherwise attempt to derive the source code for the Services or any underlying intellectual property used to provide the Services, or any part thereof;

  • Utilize or copy information, content or any data you view on or obtain from  Get IT Dictionary to provide any service that is competitive, in Get IT Dictionary's sole discretion, with Get IT Dictionary or to create a searchable database of reviews or content available on Get IT Dictionary;

  • Collect, use, copy, download, or transfer any information, including, but not limited to, personal information obtained from Get IT Dictionary except as expressly permitted in these Terms or as the owner of such information may expressly permit;

  • Record, process or mine information about other users; 

  • Use manual or automated software, devices, scripts robots, other means or processes to access, “scrape,” “crawl” “spider,” or index any web pages or any other portion of the Services;

  • Engage in “framing,” “mirroring,” or otherwise simulating the appearance or function of Get IT Dictionary's Services or content except as expressly permitted by Get IT Dictionary (such as through an approved Get IT Dictionary API);

  • Attempt to or actually override any security component included in or underlying Get IT Dictionary;

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services, user accounts, or Get IT Dictionary systems or networks through hacking, password mining or other means;

  • Engage in any action that directly or indirectly interferes with the proper working of or places an unreasonable load on Get IT Dictionary’s infrastructure;

  • Post ads, reviews on services or products offered by your current employer or by direct competitors of your current employer’s services or products, or on any products or services for which you have a conflict of interest.

 

OWNERSHIP AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

 

When you publish Content on the Website, you grant the Company an irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, fully sublicensable, non-exclusive license to copy, distribute, sell, publicly display, publicly perform and make derivative works of your Content on the Website, and on services affiliated with the Website and elsewhere (including but not limited to print, video, audio or computer media), regardless of the form of media used or of whether such media or services now exist or are developed in the future. By publishing Content to the Website, you hereby represent and warrant that you have all rights necessary to publish that Content and to grant the foregoing license to the Company. 

 

You agree that: (1) your submissions and their contents will automatically become the property of Get IT Dictionary, without any compensation to you; (2) Get IT Dictionary may use or redistribute the submissions and their contents for any purpose and in any way; (3) there is no obligation for Get IT Dictionary to review the submission; and (4) there is no obligation to keep any submissions confidential.
